Hi, does anybody know of a guide that they could reccomend? Either a book or online as been sent the building plans for a large new build property today and asked for a price for the whole plumbing system but it has to be underfloor heating and I've never done this before, I am gas safe registered and have 7 years experience installing and maintaining central heating systems.

The suppliers of UFH equipment provide a planning and costing service and are only to willing to help. Apart from that the underfloor heating design and installation guide from Corgi direct is good.

As hydrotherm says, get in touch with the suppliers, they'll work it out for you. I use my independent merchant for this type of thing, they're really helpful and if you've got a plan it should be pretty straightforward to get a system designed.

cheers thats great, I will get in touch with manufacturers and had my eye on that book anyway.

get in touch with a supplier and book a days course - worth it in the long run - running the pipework can be a mare for a novice in it - but once youve done a day course it is pretty easy - 2 man job though haha you can get in a right pickle trying to do it on your own!

Agree with that moony,it's a lot easier in summer when the pipe is a bit more flexible too!!

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...
