If its the 1 I think it is its a thermostatic flow control for the hot supply out of a combi boiler. I am sceptical to say the least. I believe it is intended to reduce the volume of cold water flushed through a tap before the hot is supplied by the combi. Restricts the flow untill it reaches the set temp.

I think this has come up in other posts I have wondered if they are any good myself.

We have a baxi instant within arms reach of the sink with the 'instant' turned off until we need hot water. Turn it on for 2 or 3 minutes before opening the tap and, voila, immediate hot water, turn it off and let the boiler carry on doing what comes naturally. Saves gallons of cold water going down the drain (after it's been through our water meter, of course!).

tell the missus she does not need make up, that's at least £200 lol

Hello, I am seeking some advice, I have a POTTERTON PROMAX 28 COMBI Boiler and I noticed yesterday that the water around the house is no longer warming up. The heat exchanger has been changed 6 months ago, so I do not believe it is that. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Thanks

Hi, I seemed to have a blockage in kitchen sink. A plumber came and cleared all the pipework that is visible inside my home (there was debris and pebbles!) We saw that the pipe that takes water down the gutter was visibly full to the top. He said he will return with a coil to push through...
