Hello, have a potterton Promax 30sl, 6 years old and the heat exchanger is leaking.

The new boiler, should I avoid potterton altogether? Any good ones to recommend when I get an engineer out?

Thanks.

Here we go , lol .

Your question is probably the most asked on here , we all have our favourites .

My vote as usual, Viessmann.

Depends on what you want straight swap go baxi or want to upgrade go Viessmann or Worcester

Vaillant or Glowworm for me. Hmmm we’ve been here begore

Non for me they are all rubbish, they have all got way to complex and use a lot of plastic parts. I've give up recommending any particular make more often than not customer tells me what they want and its usely the cheapest

What ever boiler we choose, it's bound to be so environmentally friendly and so efficient that land fill receives 5 boilers in the life time an 'inefficient' boiler lasted.

Hello, I am seeking some advice, I have a POTTERTON PROMAX 28 COMBI Boiler and I noticed yesterday that the water around the house is no longer warming up. The heat exchanger has been changed 6 months ago, so I do not believe it is that. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Thanks

I have an ideal vogue max S18 boiler and I’m considering fitting auto balancing TRVs, my question relates to the boilers pump. I see a boiler pump menu for either 70% or 100%, so, is the pump set at either one of two fixed speed percentages or does the pump actually vary speed, (modulate)...

We are from Alberta, and I own an electrical company. I have been asked by a BC Mechanical P. Eng. to install an emergency STOP button at the man-door to the boiler room. It's intent is to 'halt' the operation of the boilers in the room should there be an emergency. He is demanding that I do...

Ideal Logic 24, Previous problem was that the hot water was only cold or barely warm if the heating was in use. If heating was off and boiler cold then would get hot water most of the time. Changing the flow cartridge about 2 years ago (when I moved in) solved this problem enough to suffer it as...
