I have a steam shower and the 3 way solenoid valve has stopped working and I need a replacement. Original supplier has gone kaput. Does anybody know where I can find this or know any workarounds?

Much appreciated.

Good luck!

You may be looking at a new shower.
If there is enough space and inventiveness it may be possible with 3 washing machine inlet solenoids. Then again, I just found these:

Thanks Albatross. I wondered whether a washing machine solenoid would work. I phoned one of the companies, but I realized the valve needs to be DC 12V, which is lower than the washing machine valves (as far as I'm aware).

I get the feeling it might be more of a specialist part for steam showers?

Does anybody else have any input on this. I don't want to be forced to go down the new steam shower enclosure route; everything else is fine apart from this little part... surely somebody can supply it.

Whats gone kaput?

Rather than change the lot just try and source a replacement solenoid and fit to the existing body.

Hi Nostrum, thanks for replying. Do you know of a place where I can get a replacement solenoid (12V) which will fit onto the one in the photo?

Have you tried Maplin or anywhere online? Are there any markings on the solonoid as a clue?

I picked up a single 12V from some one like ADAFRUIT (Raspberry-Pi) related ,(Not sure if same size as yours ) .

Try solenoidvalvesuk.com. Looks like they've got some 12v ones in the plastic valves area

Hi, guys! Hope you are all well. I have four solenoid valves connected to the main water supply, and they seem to break quite often. I believe it's the pressure that's causing this. I was thinking of adding a pressure valve to control the pressure before it goes through the solenoid valve. Do...
