When they block up.

Only done one and I just un-did it from trap and turned it on and it emptied ok into a bucket. But doesn't sound very thorough or likely to work every time.

Any tricks/tips?

Thanks

Do I need to worry about any residual charge or whatever if unplugged and removing back? Don't know if that makes sense just seem to remember being warned about such things long ago.

i take of the food filter inside, cup out all water.
get wet vac and poke that in the sump after plunging a few times then i suck it all out with the vac.
fill with clean water then suck that out to draw back thru pipe.

cause is salt or lack off, after adding salt 3-4 washes its fine again.

mine does it all time.lol

As far as I know it must be clearly signed if there is any >12v capacitance (is that a word?), also once opened, check to see if there are yellow hazard lines on any PCB or around terminals etc. as these indicate areas that can stay live after the power is disconnected.
Either way, you're not going in there licking any wires, it's just to disconnect the hose :)
If you're lucky there will just be a plate at the back that comes away so you can just access the pipe clip.

Just make sure you put a screwdriver across the L N with the on/off switch on and door closed.
You dont ordinarily with dishwashers, possibly more often occurs with some tumble dryers with large induction motors and the large wack they need to get going from capacitors

I usually just stick my wetvac on the end of the hose with the other side still attached to the appliance ... Works for me every time

Hi, basic question, any insight much appreciated. Looking to have an outdoor tap in my front porch fed from 15mm pex coming up from suspended floor. Pic 1 is inside porch, pex temporarily clipped to give an idea of pipe placement (ignore shoddy blockwork of booted cowboy builder!), Pic 2 is...

Hello all, I’m replacing a concrete paving slab patio in the back yard. The original patio used 50mm deep concrete slabs on hardcore & sand. I’m planning to pour a 100mm deep concrete patio on 100mm hardcore. In order to achieve the same final height to line up with the rest of the patio, I...
