Hi,

We've got a Vitodens 100W 30kW combi boiler made by Viessmann with the standard wireless controller.

I'd like to have a bit more control over the heating, have it on for longer at the weekend etc.

Viessmann have stated that I need the Vitotrol 100 UTDB RF2, but then add that I can use a third party controller.

Does anybody know what third party controller I can use please, I'm looking for something a little cheaper than the official controller?

Many thanks

Darren

Thanks, certainly seems cheap enough, and my brother works for Screwfix so should get an extra bit off, but how does it connect to the boiler please? Currently the controller we have is wireless?

A wiring diagram is included with it which you should be able to cross reference with your boiler manual. It's straight forward but not for the novice.

Thanks, I had a Heatmiser before, on my old boiler, that I wired in with the help of my brother in law, but I don't believe that those wires are still live after we changed boiler.

I will contact my plumber and ask him.

Thanks for the help.

Maybe not as cheap, but viessmann are now offering Honeywell RF controllers into their 100w boilers as an extra and I'm sure they would retrofit into an older model. Could save on labour

Hello, I am seeking some advice, I have a POTTERTON PROMAX 28 COMBI Boiler and I noticed yesterday that the water around the house is no longer warming up. The heat exchanger has been changed 6 months ago, so I do not believe it is that. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Thanks

We run a community village hall and have a large kitchen provided for the use of hirers. This includes a Lincat SLR9 gas cooker which I believe is a 23.8Kw appliance with all six burners and oven on max. This was installed some 10 years ago and has passed all subsequent Gas Safety inspections as...

I was stupid enough not to check the position of the pipes under the tiles when installing a toilet and drilled right through the center of a 16 mm copper water pipe. I exposed the pipe by removing a ~30cm section of the plastic sleeve and a ~10 cm section of the pipe around the hole. Several...
