Hi Guys

Does anybody have any experience in working with one of these:

RTL valve Underfloor heating return temperature limiter thermostat UBG insert 5902693830900 | eBay

or

RTL-MB3 Return Limiter for underfloor heating Valve Temperature Cassette Box | eBay

its basically a TRV that measures the temperature of the actual water rather than the air.

Its designed for small spaces - 4 square meters, so can run off the existing central heating loop.

Polypipe and Danfoss make one too, but if it's just a TRV I'm not sure if I should pay extra for the above brands.

I would be grateful for any feedback.

Cheers

Limiting under floor heating temperatures is a vital safety issue. Using cheap stuff is not best practice. Honeywell, Drayton or Danfoss are good
reliable manufacturers..everybody on UKPF will have their favourites

Personally I have never seen these in England but for a small system either should be ok .
I have a temp/pressure limiting valve on my ufh , and all it does is lies there in case anything is going to go ***’* up and closes off the ufh. However it doesn't regulate a mixing temperature .

Hi, Our Polypipe thermostat doesn’t seem to be reading the room temperature correctly. It is working ok, in that it activates the valve but we have to manually reset the temperature each time to activate the underfloor heating. Any suggestions please?

We’ve had a UFH system installed as part of our home renovation which is run alongside our existing radiators. Some of it is in rooms with LVT flooring which means we’ve got to be careful with water temperature (floor temp limits are set, but can easily overshoot if water is too hot). Our...
