So I had a young lad do some work for me he has all his tickets so should know what he’s doing. Maybe it’s me being old fashioned I know a fair bit about plumbing but no expert. New property sealed system indirect cylinder. Here’s my confusion

blue and red are flow and return from boiler, red flow and return of radiators. Other pipe is from filling loop. Rite
here’s my confusion if flow from boiler pumps from boiler through the port valve when open round radiators then how does it return against the flow of the boiler?
Maybe i’m just old fashioned but i’m sure the return pipe from radiators should be attached to the boiler return flow?

No picture ?? / errored out

blue is flow and return to boiler
Red is flow return to radiators

Also i’m pretty sure he’s put the port valve in the wrong place ?

I can see the picture, but I don't understand your arrows. If blue is return and red is flow (although you haven't explicitely stated as much), how can some of the pipes be both flow and return?

Blue is flow and return from boiler.
The red arrows SHOULD be the radiator flow and return but there plumbed incorrect to the best of my knowledge ?

As Chris has said above. If wired up that way you will get dead heading when calling for UFH, unless HW is being called for. Looks neat but perhaps he doesn't really know what he's doing

Hmmm looks like he's a bit inexperienced neat enough but I would say it need modifying , there's a common mistake when fitting expansion vessels to a plaster board wall you need to fix a ply board to the upright studs, the expansion vessel bracket is then fitted to this when they fail it becomes very heavy and often fall off the wall, where is the combination valve and potable expansion vessel and auto bypass for the heating ?? Kop
