Hi All,

I could really do with some help!

Woke up this morning and there is no hot water in the bathroom, first thing I thought it's probably a frozen pipe somewhere. Cold water is available without any problem. Downstairs however the hot water is working.

So this is what I've done so far...

- Tried to thaw the condensate pipe outside
- Restart the boiler (Ideal ISAR)
- Left the hot water taps open in the bathroom
- Started the central heating, all radiators apart from the bathroom one gets hot.

We have a mixter tap on the sink and bath including a power mixer shower.

Thanks for helping

Hi. Sounds like frozen pipes. may be both heating and hot water pipe follow same route to bath room and both circuits suffering from cold spot. (Draft is a big cause of the problem in cold conditions.)

What should I do? Shall I leave the heating running and see if it clears, it was fine last night

i would but do not leave the house unattended just in case a pipe has slit due to ice. Identify where the system can be isolated if the need arises.

Every two weeks or so I have to go and top up the system because the hot taps are running cold. Boiler display is flashing 0.6 bar and I fill up to 1.3. I've had an engineer look inside the boiler and he can't see anything wrong. I've checked the pipes all over the house and cannot see any...

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...
