Hi everyone.

I am trying to unscrew the bolt under my monobloc tap, however the bolt is very unusual as you can see in the picture. I am also an absolute noob when it comes to plumbing. Going through tons of youtube video on replacing a monobloc tap seemed quiet straight forward but my tap seems to have quiet a strange screw bolted underneath.

How do i un screw that little :nono :.. Please, i need your advice and suggestions.

Many thanks.

Thanks for your message.

What exactly is flexs? and i assuming you're referring the 20mm galv conduit for the screw itself right?

Also how do i go by removing the flexs?

Thanks

they should just need a twist and of-course you should have disconnected them already from the pipework (eg hot and cold should already been turned off ) then just give the flex a anti clock wise turn and should start to loosen

Seen them before if you remove the pop up waste lever you then use an Allen key from above through the hole. Think they are ideal Standard taps

Thanks for reply chaps. Shauncorbs, It is rather impossible to give the flex an anti clockwise turn due to the two pipes (hot and cold) that is obstructing it. If you get my drift :devilish:

Buckley plumb Thanks mate, i will try with the allen key later today as it seems impossible to do it from under.

Cheers for the reply again lads.

I have a plumber coming tomorrow to change a cartridge on a badly dripping tap on my bathroom mixer unit. There is no separate isolating valve for this tap so I'll have to close the stopcock. I tried closing it today but it won't go absolutely 100% closed and there is still a very slight flow...

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...

Hi, basic question, any insight much appreciated. Looking to have an outdoor tap in my front porch fed from 15mm pex coming up from suspended floor. Pic 1 is inside porch, pex temporarily clipped to give an idea of pipe placement (ignore shoddy blockwork of booted cowboy builder!), Pic 2 is...
