Hi all, i have fitted a 22mm scale inhibitor today( due to very hard water) and have lost pressure to all the cold taps in my property bar the outside tap and the washer valve feed . I have also lost around 4L a minute on the flow rate on all the affected taps . Property is a new build MDPE incoming onto a 22mm brass stop tap all piped in 22mm copper t'd off to 15mm for the kitchen sink . Hot water side is a indirect unvented system which is not affected .I'm a plumber so straight away i took out the scale inhibitor out , fitted a new stop tap and piped straight back through to the existing pipe work just incase the inhibitor or stap tap was reducing the flow but the cold pressure is still low for my property . The new pipework was all done in 22mm copper soldered with solder ring fittings but due to lack of space under the kitchen sink i had to elbow down from the incoming main into the scale inhibitor then elbow back up and around to the existing pipe work .
Has any one any ideas what the problem could be or ever experienced this before . I have done this plenty of times before on customers houses and never had a problem.
Thanks in advance .

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...

Ideal Logic 24, Previous problem was that the hot water was only cold or barely warm if the heating was in use. If heating was off and boiler cold then would get hot water most of the time. Changing the flow cartridge about 2 years ago (when I moved in) solved this problem enough to suffer it as...

Hello all, I’m replacing a concrete paving slab patio in the back yard. The original patio used 50mm deep concrete slabs on hardcore & sand. I’m planning to pour a 100mm deep concrete patio on 100mm hardcore. In order to achieve the same final height to line up with the rest of the patio, I...
