Fitted an ideal logic the other day ,good easy fit in a loft on a gable, not my ideal location but no space downstairs, called back 2 days later, leaking on the body of the cold inlet valve, any way ideal are getting a new inlet valve to the address on Monday so I can fit it,the guy said usually homeserve do their warranty work, must admit I thought they had there own team doing warranty work:cry_smile:

Phone ideal they will go out and replace it no problem

that was the plan, but they could only do it after thurs next week. The customer is a mate of mine so, a bucket under the boiler and a call back Monday night:cry_smile:

Ideal have their own techs in their own vans. Not home serve.

May be a good thing you're doing repair yourself if loft isn't boarded etc

might be mistaken, but on the phone I was transferred to home serve, ive seen ideal vans around a few times, might be a temp thing with the bad weather

Depends on the area I guess. Over here most manufacturers farm their warranty repairs out to subbies, just works out cheaper.
