Hi All,

I have one of these boilers at home, and have noticed recently, the hot water hasn't been working right. The PCB was replaced about 9 months ago, and the Gas Venturi Fan was replaced 12 months ago, and all has been fine on the heating side, but i'm struggling to get hot water out of it. The hot water will flow warm for a couple of minutes, not hot with the dial up full, and then go cold again while even the central heating is on or off. The only thing I could think off the top of my head, is that since the PCB was replaced, since it was upgraded revision from the one that came out, is it possible a jumper on the PCB isn't set right?

Otherwise, what would cause this problem?

I doubt it will be anything to do with the PCB, more than likely a diverter valve issue. You need a RGI to take a look at it I'm afraid.

Could be a faulty diverter valve or blocked heat exchanger - although I'm sure one of the other GSR's with more experience will be along shortly.

I take it that all work has been carried out by a registered gas installer?

Hello, I am seeking some advice, I have a POTTERTON PROMAX 28 COMBI Boiler and I noticed yesterday that the water around the house is no longer warming up. The heat exchanger has been changed 6 months ago, so I do not believe it is that. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Thanks

Ideal Logic 24, Previous problem was that the hot water was only cold or barely warm if the heating was in use. If heating was off and boiler cold then would get hot water most of the time. Changing the flow cartridge about 2 years ago (when I moved in) solved this problem enough to suffer it as...

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...
