Hey ppl,

Got a customer with an Ideal Classic FF240, fires up on demand everything gets hot and then boiler goes off for 5 seconds and then relights, does the same over and over. Know these give problems with Potentiometer but have replaced with and old one I know that works. Any ideas :)

When you say gets hot,now long does the boiler run for while heating up? Do all the rads get hot?

if you are gas safe registered then please contact redsaw or gasman via pm to gain access to the gas safe only forum and post your questions there, if you are not please do not work on boilers and please read the forum rules.

safety first and all that. :)

The whole system gets hot. Takes about 15 then clicks in and out. Not a circulation problem. Could it be the thermister?

Thanks AWHEATING for your comment but I am gsr and have contacted gas man. Have over 10 posts and also answered his questions correctly.

Ideal Logic 24, Previous problem was that the hot water was only cold or barely warm if the heating was in use. If heating was off and boiler cold then would get hot water most of the time. Changing the flow cartridge about 2 years ago (when I moved in) solved this problem enough to suffer it as...

We run a community village hall and have a large kitchen provided for the use of hirers. This includes a Lincat SLR9 gas cooker which I believe is a 23.8Kw appliance with all six burners and oven on max. This was installed some 10 years ago and has passed all subsequent Gas Safety inspections as...
