My daughter has a combi boiler (Procombi 85HE) that slowly loses pressure over time. Unfortunately access to the filling loop valves is behind wooden 'boxing' which necessitates the front being unscrewed to access it. Easy for me but then I'm 50 miles away. Is there a way to have access to the valves outside the box so they can easily be reached?

Is this her own/your house or rented?

Fix the leak
Put hinges on the door.
Magnetic catches;

Fit one of these, or whatever size is required;

I own the house and she lives in it.

The item from Screwfix looks like the ideal option

Maybe a proper boiler service will fix your issue as it could be a couple things need a bit of TLC

I'm hoping that this will be the case. Of course I still have the current problem of identifying a tradesman to carry out the service, when recent experience in all trades when I have requested a quote is to completely ignore my request. My luck with securing the services of tradesmen has got to improve at some stage, so let's hope this happens now. I have 2 requests pending at the moment.

I have put a request on the "I'm looking for a Plumber or Gas Engineer" forum for a tradesman to quote for a boiler repair, and I have also emailed two supposedly well rated tradesmen advertising on Yell. and the response has been 'zilch'.

Either I am extremely unlucky or there is a serious problem in many trades regarding communication with potential customers.

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...

We run a community village hall and have a large kitchen provided for the use of hirers. This includes a Lincat SLR9 gas cooker which I believe is a 23.8Kw appliance with all six burners and oven on max. This was installed some 10 years ago and has passed all subsequent Gas Safety inspections as...

Hello all, I’m replacing a concrete paving slab patio in the back yard. The original patio used 50mm deep concrete slabs on hardcore & sand. I’m planning to pour a 100mm deep concrete patio on 100mm hardcore. In order to achieve the same final height to line up with the rest of the patio, I...
