Any advice as to what is causing this.
Maybe relevant?
We had a power cut about 5 days ago - I don't think the heating was on at the time but the power cut caused the timer to be reset.
It was the weirdest power cut I have ever experienced... the lights dimmed like some horror film.. but the...
So my fault finding has gone downhill over the past couple of years ad I haven't been doing much.
I have the above, fan starts, pilot sparks then lights. I hear a click (like gas valve is opening) but then the burner doesn't ignite and it's got a slow continuing spark even though the pilots...
My Potterton Netaheat Gas boiler in London UK only comes on to heat radiators when in timed water mode after renewing actuator valve or when both water and heating are set to On continuously it only heats water at the timed settings. Have never used a forum before to get advice. Can anyone help...

Okay, so my boiler kettles fairly badly once it reaches a moderate temperature even under conditions that are allowing good flow rates. Having resolved the system air ingress, let's move on.
The Netaheat Profile (later rebranded simply as the Profile) has a cast-iron heat exchanger. It has...
Hi everyone not long gas safe and would like a more experienced opinion on scenario below i have tried to give as much detail as possible as know it is hard to give advise over the internet. (bit of an essay sorry)
Called to Potterton Netaheat 10-16 electronic and was told it would come on and...
Hi all
I'm new here so thanks in advance, I have an old Netaheat boiler set up (gravity fed) which failed to fire up for central heating last week, I have set the three way diverted valve to manual and have been using the "call for hot water" to heat the radiators (once its been on for half...
how can you tell that they are positive pressure fans? I know negative fans are located after the combustion chamber and positive are before the chamber. But on these balanced flues I can't find it on the instruction manual. Any advice how to identify its a positive fan?
Morning chaps
As per the title have one of these beasts that I just cannot get to fire properly.
Owner thought they would be clever and use Google and have replaced the air pressure switch but it hasn't made any difference. I also would suggest that they have got the air pipes back to...
I was thinking about the landlord bashing that went on in another thread re. the fact that the landlord had never had his boiler actually serviced.
It occurred to me that I am similarly guilty. I still haven't found a house I wish to buy in Wales and my house in Essex is therefore rented out...
Had circulation problems got water fine heating cold some Luke warm had been powerflushed now boilers not coming on at all no flame nothing anyone had this issue? Sealed system megaflow
Had a call out tonight to one of these fan spins fine, have a good spark and pilot lights and stays on .However from that point on i have no gas going through to main burner.Unless i am mistaken the gas valve has gone boiler tho is about 15 years old !!
Hi chaps. I have a customer with an old netaheat that not firing. When there's a demand fan starts, pilot light but no main burner. It was cycling recently so I have replaced the pcb as I know they are notorious for that and all was fine For a few weeks, now I have a recall X for this. Im...
Went to a job today.
Customer wanted a second opinion. Had another engineer round before me to do a LLC. He capped the meter off as the hob (built in to work top type) was fitted on bayonet hose and plugged in to old bayonet.
Also said the boiler was dangerous as when it fired up there...
My Potterton ep2000 programmer has expired, it looks like I can easily replace it with a newer EP2 without changing the back panel so a simple switch. But it seems that the installation guide I've found online says I need to select whether the system is fully pumped or gravity.
Now I'm stuck...

cust has a 6/10 fitted & flued to the right as you look at it which i need to change. Can anyone recommend a boiler where the flue hole needs little cutting away. The n/heat flue is the round type terminal not the square outlet.
Really im looking for a quick swap over.
Thanks
Had a bit of a bust up with a cust today.Went out last week to a tenants boiler it was an old 16-22.I told her that most of the parts were obsolete including the case seal.I charged her a stupid low call out charge & said i would meet the landlord there to quote for new boiler.
The tenant phoned...
Hi i have a couple of these that need removing. Anyone any experience of how to go about it. Depending on the age they may contain asbestos in the combustion chamber seals and i cant really check the age without taking the front off. Im loath to take the front off if theres asbestos risk. Ive...
Fan stop start, when you release cover a little fan run constantly but not enough pressure to activate APS
Swooped out APS, tried two, still the same
Baxi think it may be the GV but if I unplug it still does the same, it is more likely the PCB but the resistance levels are not right on the GV...
